Subspecies: C.sastrei

Characteristics

The meat-eating bull Carnotaurus is a gnarly predator with dastardly devil horns on its skull. With a short blunt skull and long legs that could reach up to 35 miles per hour Carnotaurus was built like a theropod pitbull. Carnotaurus closest relatives are other abelisaurids like Majungasaurus and, Skorpiovenator. Carnotaurus lived with the armored saltasaur Titanomachya, Ankylosaurs, Hadrosaurs and various other small animals you would expect like snakes, turtles and birds. Carnotaurus had comically tiny arms compared to the rest of its body, having no wrists; the carnotaurus' four-digit hands hung out from the sides of its body attached to the arms. These arms were surprisingly flexible, having the equivalent movement to that of a ball joint on an action figure. They were too specialized to have no purpose, likely having a social or display-related function. Carnotaurus was found with many preserved skin specimens that showed thick scales with 2-inch scutes randomly oriented across the body for protection.

History

Carnotaurus has a very similar history to the sauropod Amargasaurus Both only have one known specimen that are mostly complete and both were recovered in the same expedition that was part of the movement "Jurassic and Cretaceous Terrestrial Vertebrates of South America"1984 by José Bonaparte its purpose was to discover the animals of a Lost world within the Lost world. Carnotaurus MACN-CH 894 was recovered in the movement and it is still used in research today.

Jurassic Franchise The Carnotaurus had it's film debut in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom's where it's main scene is when it fights a Sinoceratopfor no reason then Tyrannosaurus attacks it so it can roar with it’s foot on Carnotaurus neck for yet again no reason except the T Rex roaring over an active volcano is a good poster shot It later reappeared in Dominion with a new palette referred to as the Demon Carnotaurus Being black with splotches of faded red as well as a scar on the face and a broken horn. There are color changing Carnotaurus in the Lost World novel but I haven't read that far yet,

Dominons Carnotaurus

Disney's Dinosaur the main antagonist throughout the film. Disney's Carnotaurus was originally going to be Tyrannosaurus, but well into development, it was decided that Carnotaurus would be better suited for the role because of its devil horns. Even though it was from a completely different continent and was half to a third of the size of Tyrannosaurus. Nevertheless, the producers decided to name this a new fictional subspecies Carnotaurus Robustus Floridensis, and a model skeleton for it was made for Disney's Dinoland USA which is closing down soon :/

Disney's Dinosaur Carnotaurus

Prehistoric Planet A male Carnotaurus is looking for a mate; he finds a clearing in the forest and tidies it up, cleaning the little plants and logs before sending an invitation to females. When she arrives, he tries to impress her by swaying his neck and tail as the music slowly builds to a climax, when the Carnotaurus reveals his bright blue arms and shakes them along with his dance. All this for the female to be unimpressed… Carnotaurus doesn't let it bother him like a player he immediately tries again

Carnotaurus Dance

The Isle Carnotaurus is the fastest species in the game, running at 32 miles per hour. It has a strong bite and great bleed resistance, but struggles with maneuvering while running; it takes a moment to accelerate, and takes a while to regain stamina. It’s great at hunting the small nimble herbivores and carnivores of the server, but struggles against some of the larger herbivores and carnivores, particularly Deinosuchus, that can ambush a vulnerable Carnotaurus.
