Characteristics ~ ~ ~ ~

Olorotitan is one the most graceful Hadrosaurs, with a giant spectacular crest and the name meaning ‘titanic swan’ because of its longer than average neck. Olorotitan was one of the larger hadrosaurs at 26 ft long and weighing between 2,5 to 3.5 tons. The crest is shaped like the broom part on a centurion or roman soldier’s helmet. Which would have been used for display and species identification as Olorotitan lived with two other Lambeosaurines: Amurosaurus, Charonosaurus, and a saurolophine Kerberosaurus. Olorotitan also lived with Arkhavavia and an indeterminate Albertosaurine, dromaeosaurs, ornithomimid, and Troodon.

History & Fossils ~ ~ ~ ~

The Olorotitan holotype AEHM 2/845 was discovered around 1999-2001 but wouldn’t be described until 2003 and it was a mostly complete skeleton. It’s one of the most complete hadrosaur fossils and the most complete Lambeosaurine ever found outside of the United States.

Media Deptictions ~ ~ ~ ~

Jurassic World Evolution added in the Secrets of Dr. Wu expansion alongside Troodon. Olorotitan is just a pretty standed hadrosaur in this game tbh. I like it more than Tsintaosaurus and way more than Corthyosaurus. But I don’t really like the more bipedal hadrosaurs because there inaccurate (except Muttaburasaurus). The skins are alright I guess they’re to unrealistic and random for my taste. Limpopo river and Chalcorona. I’m also surprised both it and Tsintaosaurus got into Jwe3 on launch.

Honestly wish Olorotian got some kind of Lux pattern I think it would suit it
