Characteristics ~ ~ ~ ~
Yutyrannus could grow up to 30 feet long and weighed around 3,000 pounds. Known as the feathered tyrant Yutyrannus is the largest animal with direct evidence of feathers. With presumed to be a full coat covering most of the body feathery wings at the arms and a tail fan. Yutyrannus had this coat covering it’s body to keep it warm as the Yixan Formation had an average temperature of 10 °C. Yutyrannus are presumed to be rather social as they were mostly found in groups likely for hunting sauropods likely the species Dongbeititan. The exact place and time Yutyrannus existed in the Yixan formation is uncertain but other dinosaurs that it likely coexisted with are Psitacosaurus Sinosauropteryx and Caudipteryx all having plumage.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 Featured in the Feathered species pack alongside Sinosauropteryx, Jehelopterus, and Deinocheirus. Yutyrannus is absolutely gorgeous with the dark colors of the skin blending to the lighter colors of the feathers and the brightly colored lacrimal horns. My favorite is the reddish brown with the black stripes. It’s also satisfying to watch as their tails bounce as they walk. With a base appeal of 645 they are very popular yet easy to care for, making a large pen with 10+ Yutyrannus is not a bad challenge mode strategy.
