Waking up, Ivan lies motionless, partially buried in the sand. He could feel the waves rhythmically come back and forth from the sea. Lying there he wasn't injured, maybe only a little sore but he was unbelievably tired and it was nice to lie there for just a little longer as the heat from the sun on his back warmed him up.

It wasn't until felt something pressing onto his back did he start to lift himself up. Pushing himself off the ground, the sand pouring off his face, an animal jumped back off of him and let off a honking noise.

Wiping the sand off of his eyes, waiting for his vision to unstrain itself and dusting off his clothes. He looked around the beach that spanned on for what looked like miles, bordering a tropical forest, as large fallen over trunks tapered the edges that border the two.

Looking over to his other side there was the animal standing beside him curiously, but not as curious as Ivan was looking at it. It was huge, although it was hunched over it easily stood as tall as his shoulders and despite its size when it pressed on his back it was light: only feeling a little heavier than a cat. It was like a bird he thought, mostly because it looked like it could fly, and like it had feathers but they were small blue-ish grey, and fluffy, almost like fur. Unlike birds it had hands that touched the ground. And its beak was the really off-putting part. It looked normal for the most part if only a little oddly shaped, but it had teeth. Creepy interlocking teeth that sat messily jutting on the outside of the beak. He didn’t really know what to think of it, he thinks he should probably be afraid of it. But it was really calm, standing there, looking at him, as if it was waiting for something, watching and following his gestures before it sneezed.

Was it trying to eat me? He thought he was lying there on the beach motionless for a while. It must have thought he was dead and was prepared to scavenge his carcass. It certainly seemed like the logical conclusion as the creature definitely looked like a predator.Looking up the sun was blindingly bright and there were 2 more of these flying creatures flying, circling overhead. Starting to get nervous, he reached over and grabbed a stick and threw it at the bird, shouting weakly to scare it off. It got a little agitated, honked at him, sprawled its wings and finally flew away.

Sitting down a bit relieved he waited to dry off as he looked out into the horizon he only saw the endlessly spanning sea; there weren't any ships or boats that gave him a clue in the world as to where he was or how he got here. But that didn't bother him at the moment as an unbelievable thirst drank his thoughts.

Fumbling around his pants pockets he found nothing but gunk buildup in them. Reaching in and out to clean them it’s only then he noticed and acknowledged his watch still on his wrist. It’s pretty fancy or at least it was, the glass wasn’t cracked but it was covered with scratches, the handles had stains everywhere, and the time wasn’t even properly set. It read 9:22, even though it was clearly midday, he could barely even read the time because the sun wouldn’t stop reflecting off of it.

Enter Scene 2The Tropical forest was quiet yet somehow felt restless. Rather dense with beams of light striking though the spots free of foliage. There was a sort of clearing he found that could be walked through a trail from the looks of it as the grass and shrubs have been trampled over time. Still dazed Ivan followed_Leaning over he got a drink from the stream but sitting across from him.It wouldn’t take a genius to count to three and figure out it was a Triceratops. It looked straight out of a book he’s seen as a child. Except it was real, living, and breathing there._“Everyone calls me Tommy, how about you”Ivan, Ivan BridgeSay where’d you come from I haven’t seen you around here beforeI don’t remember how I got here I just kinda showed up, what is this place anyways the Himalayas?Well that’s the thing nobody is really certain you’d look around and think you are sometime ancient like the Cretaceous period. We’ll the Triceratops gave it away“Where are you from? Wait wait wait let me guess Arizona.”No im from New Mexico right outside the city of Santa Fe”Aw man, I knew I was close, you must have been quite lucky to have made it here then”How’s thatMost people who live that far don’t make it to shore; it’s something about continental drift and how there's an ocean dividing the west and east coasts of America.Really? At least that’s what I've been told most people I meet that came stranded from the beach come from further east from you. Given how far you are, it should be a given that a sea monster or something woulda gottcha.Sea Monster?Oh yeah, there are some nasty and huge creatures out there in those waters lizards, sharks, fish, I'd even watch out for the turtles. But how could a turtle kill you?It didn't one time my buddy mark was going out to do some fishing on his fancy wooden boat and I guess he wasn’t watching where he was sailing and he crashed into a turtle shell, and it tore up the front of his boat from the impact, he wasn't hurt or anything he just had to paddle all the way back with part of his boat underwater real shame it was a nice boat too…That's not important right now
